Our New Front Yard!!!

So after our lygus bug attack on our house, multiple letters from our HOA about our "dead" landscaping and all of our broken sprinklers... Will and I were finally able to save enough money to re-do our front yard landscaping. (Note that our front yard is 3,000 square feet - it's larger than the footprint of our house!) We think this is one of the biggest changes we have done to the house. We are very happy with the outcome and can't wait for everyone to see it in person! I'll take you for a trip down memory lane...

Here is one of the first photos of our front yard (right side of the driveway) just after closing escrow:

Here is one of the first photos of our front yard (left side of the driveway) just after closing escrow. No, the trailer is not ours (it's a long story)!:

A photo after Will and I moved all of the rocks by hand for 10 hours (right side of our driveway):

Here's a closer look at the area where the rocks have been removed:

Another photos with tree and bushes removed. The only plant we kept was the camelia (as shown on the right side):

Another look at the left side of the driveway - with all of the bushes and wooden posts removed:

A little foggy, but the concrete circle has finally been removed around the grassy area:

We finally have dirt! All of the bushes, pavers, concrete and grass has finally been removed! Bring on the topping soil and sod!!! :)

6:30am - the sod finally arrives on a huge semi. I think we woke up the entire neighborhood with the semi's backing up lights and sounds (beep, beep, beep):

A total of 6 pallets of sod arrive. It's so cool looking!

Drumroll please....
the final product!!!

It's so beautiful! Our neighbors are so happy to see our finished and not dead front yard. Let's hope our new sod doesn't freeze this winter! Keep your fingers crossed! :)

So what do you guy's think? ;)
